Platform Architecture
Roaming Management System (RMS)
Our Roaming Management System (RMS) three-layer architecture gives you both the power of carrier-grade network coverage and the flexibility of service offerings. The three layers are hosted concurrently in our 24/7 Cellular NOC.
Solution Layer
The Solution Layer contains all the components of the system that are involved in real time call-processing and are external to the Mobile Operator and ILDP networks. These functionalities are provided by the MultRoaming server based on configurable business rules.
Business Layer
The Business Layer contains the tools and databases that are used for administering the service and for interacting with the customer, both automatically (e.g. via SMS and email) and via customer care agents.
Network Layer
The Network Layer is the integration point with the pre-existing components of the Mobile Operator and International Long Distance Provider networks. All integration is standards-based, using MAP/SS7, IP and TDM.

SIM Toolkit Application (STK)
MultiRoaming RMS makes use of our patent-pending SIM Toolkit capabilities, which enable your subscriber's SIM cards to carry multiple IMSIs. IMSI switching occurs automatically based on roaming location, and specific parameters are provided over-the-air. The STK allows all MultiRoaming services to remain on the SIM in dormant mode when your subscribers are in the home network. Each time the subscriber enters a MultiRoaming network area, the STK automatically activates one of the IMSIs and enables an optimal roaming environment.
